Man Utd News:" Agents told three targets, £50m Danny Rose dispute, Gareth Bale preference "

Starsport brings you Manchester United transfer news and gossip, with all the latest on the January transfer window, Danny Rose and Gareth Bale.

Manchester United will look to bring in three players this month and are searching for signings. According to the Daily Mail, United officials have told agents they are on the lookout. The positions being focused on are left-back, right-back and attacking midfield.

While marquee signings are expected in the summer, three stars will try to be introduced before January 31. It is said word has been sent out by United to a number of top representatives. Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is stopping Jose Mourinho from signing Danny Rose.

The manager wants to bring in Tottenham’s left-back this month. But while he is available for around £50m, the Mirror claim Mourinho is being left frustrated by Woodward suggesting younger and cheaper alternatives. The Red Devils chief is said to have told the Portuguese that players must be sold first or he has to wait until the summer for Rose.

Gareth Bale would prioritise a move to Manchester United or return to Tottenham over joining Chelsea. One option next summer is to see him head to Chelsea as part of an exchange deal involving key target Eden Hazard. Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Real Madrid offering Bale to the Blues would lower Hazard’s cost to below £45m.

However, the former Tottenham man does not wish to betray his old club by signing for a direct London rival. Don Balon add the 28-year-old would prefer to go to United. Jose Mourinho has previously expressed an interest in the Wales international, and even a move back to Tottenham would be welcomed ahead of choosing Chelsea
